Questions
What is conservation framing?
Conservation framing uses archival, acid-free materials, reversible mounting and UV-filtering glazing so the frame protects the artwork rather than damaging it over time. Lumber Frames recommends it for original and valuable works.
Is museum glass worth it?
For valuable or light-sensitive works and for rooms with strong light, museum glass combines UV filtering with very low reflection, so the work is both protected and clearly visible.
