An exhibition is judged as a whole. Consistency across prints, frames and the hang is what makes a body of work feel resolved.
Decide the prints
Choose sizes that suit the venue and the images — a mix of one or two sizes usually reads better than many. Pick one paper for the series so tones stay consistent, and approve proofs before the full run.
One framing specification
Frame the series identically: same moulding, mount colour and proportion. Slim black, white or natural wood profiles keep attention on the photographs.
Glazing for gallery lighting
Track lighting creates reflections on standard glass. Anti-reflective museum glass or acrylic lets visitors see the image, not the lights.
Plan the hang
- Map the works on a floor plan in sequence.
- Use one centre height throughout.
- Label each frame on the back with its position and title.
Timeline
Work backwards from opening night, leaving time for proofing, printing, framing and delivery. Bring us your dates and we will schedule production around them.
